MERCATUS CENTER EVENTS

The Mercatus Center at George Mason University hosts two flagship leadership forums in India—the Unconference and Ideas of India—each designed to foster meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and innovative thinking among entrepreneurs, policymakers, academics, and change-makers. Launched in 2018, the Unconference is an annual fellowship and grant program built around a participant-led format, encouraging attendees to propose topics and lead discussions. Across four editions, it has featured breakout sessions, curated regional dining experiences, and immersive cultural activities that inspire collaboration and the exchange of bold ideas. Ideas of India is a discussion-led conference that brings together policymakers, industry leaders, and changemakers to explore state-level reforms and policy innovation. Over three editions, it has offered presentations, panel discussions, interactive breakout sessions, and thoughtfully curated experiences that encourage meaningful conversations and actionable insights.
